On this occasion, the Chinese branch of the International School of Psychology and Management (IPMC) in the UK has officially established the "Professional Academic Review Committee for Psychology". This is a happy event and an important milestone in the development history of IPMC, and we would like to extend our warm congratulations!
The establishment of the Academic Review Committee provides a monitoring and evaluation system for the quality of education and talent development for IPMC in strengthening discipline construction and cultivating high-level talents at the master's and doctoral levels. It also encourages psychology professionals to establish a global perspective, fully utilize international resources, and create applied psychology talents who combine online and offline academic perspectives with professional advantages.
The committee will also provide a platform to encourage outstanding talents from all over the world to exchange ideas, jointly stimulate innovative thinking, and make more contributions to the training of psychology professionals and the overall mental health services of society.
Outline of the Psychology Academic Review Committee of the International Psychology Management College (IPMC)
Committee Purpose
The purpose of the Chinese Psychology Academic Review Committee of the International Psychology Management College(IPMC) is to receive guidance from national education policies and spirits, ensure that the school's psychology academic activities and research maintain high quality, meet professional standards, and promote academic innovation and excellence.
Committee composition
1. Chairman: Appointed by experts with outstanding reputation and rich experience in the field of psychology, responsible for leading the committee's work, presiding over meetings, and playing a key role in important decision-making.
2. Committee members: composed of scholars with in-depth research and significant achievements in different branches of psychology, as well as senior professionals from psychology related industries, responsible for conducting professional evaluations of academic achievements and providing guidance and suggestions for the combination of academic research and practical applications.
Committee work content
(1) Academic project review
Approval of newly established psychology courses and majors, including evaluation of course design, teaching syllabus, faculty allocation, and other aspects.
Regular review of existing courses and majors to ensure their timeliness and teaching quality.
(2) Teacher Qualification and Teaching Evaluation
Review the qualifications of teachers, including educational background, research achievements, teaching experience, etc.
Evaluate the teaching performance of teachers, including teaching methods, teaching effectiveness, student feedback, etc.
(3) Student Academic Achievement Review
Review students' graduation theses and research projects, evaluate their academic level and innovation.
Select outstanding academic achievements of students and provide rewards and recommendations.
(4) Academic Exchange and Cooperation
Deliberate and organize plans and proposals for the college to participate in domestic and international academic conferences and collaborative research projects.
Promote communication and cooperation between the college and other academic institutions, and enhance the college's influence in the field of psychology.
Provide support for academic activities of alumni associations formed by IPMC students.
(5) Academic norms and ethical supervision
Develop and improve the academic standards and ethical guidelines of the college.
Investigate and handle academic misconduct, and maintain the academic reputation of the college.
Responsibilities of each position
(1) Chairman
Fully responsible for the work of the committee, ensuring that its operation conforms to the purpose and goals of the college.
Develop the committee's work plan and agenda, and preside over the committee's meetings.
Play a leading role in major decisions and coordinate opinions and differences among committee members.
Communicate and coordinate with the college management, other departments, and external organizations on behalf of the committee.
(2) The committee
Conduct professional evaluation and review of academic projects, teacher qualifications, student achievements, etc. submitted for review.
Based on professional knowledge and experience, provide objective and impartial evaluation opinions and suggestions.
Participate in the formulation and improvement of academic norms and ethical standards, and supervise compliance in academic activities.
Evaluate academic projects and research results from the perspective of industry application, and provide practical application suggestions and guidance.
Assist the college in establishing connections with the industry, promote industry university research cooperation, and provide industry information and guidance for students' career development.
